TOP GIFTS TO THE WORLD FROM INDIA.

THINGS WHICH ORIGINATED IN INDIA AND HAVE THE MOST SIGNIFICANCE IN TODAY`S WORLD

INDIA GAVE VARIOUS THINGS TO ITS PEOPLE AND THE WHOLE WORLD.
FROM THE TRENDING YOGA ,AYURVEDA , MATHEMATICS TO THE
   LITERATURES LIKE BHAGWAD GEETA .

HERE ARE SOME GIFTS TO THE WORLD FROM INDIA WHICH FINDS IMPORTANCE
IN ONE OR ANOTHER WAY IN TODAY`S MODERN ERA.

  [1] ZERO (SUNYA)

HAVING NOTHING AS ITS MAGNITUDE THOUGH IT IS THE MOST VALUED , RESPECTED , AND IMPORTANT NUMERAL. NOTHING CAN BE IMAGINED WITHOUT IT IN ANY MEASUREMENT SYSTEM . THE ZERO FINDS ITS ORIGIN IN THE BOOK  Aryabhatiya .
The concept of zero as a digit in the decimal place value notation was developed in India, presumably as early as during the Gupta period (c. 5th century), with the oldest unambiguous evidence dating to the 7th century.

 [2] YOGA

The origins of yoga have been speculated to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions; it is mentioned in the Rigveda.
Yoga gurus from India later introduced yoga to the West, following the success of Swami Vivekananda in the late 19th and early 20th century. In the 1980s, yoga became popular as a system of physical exercise across the Western world.[17] Yoga in Indian traditions, however, is more than physical exercise; it has a meditative and spiritual core.

International Day of Yoga, or commonly and unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015.

   [3] AYURVEDA

IT IS THE INDIAN MEDICINE SYSTEM WHICH USES THE NATURAL HERBS AND OTHER TREATMENT PROCEDURES TO CURE THE DISEASES AND ILLNESSES.
According to some sources, up to 80 percent of people in India use some form of traditional medicine, a category which includes Ayurveda.
PATANJALI AYURVEDA IS THE DEVELOPING ORGANIZATION IN INDIA AND ACROSS THE WORLD.
Plant-based treatments in Ayurveda may be derived from roots, leaves, fruits, bark, or seeds such as cardamom and cinnamon.

  [4]MATHEMATICS

In the classical period of Indian mathematics (400 AD to 1200 AD), important contributions were made by scholars like AryabhataBrahmagupta, and Bhaskara II.
Ancient and medieval Indian mathematical works, all composed in Sanskrit, usually consisted of a section of sutras in which a set of rules or problems were stated with great economy in verse in order to aid memorization by a student.
Srinivasa Ramanujan made substantial contributions to mathematical analysisnumber theoryinfinite series, and continued fractions, including solutions to mathematical problems considered to be unsolvable.

   {In Ganitapada 6, Aryabhata gives the area of a triangle astribhujasya phalaśarīraṃ samadalakoṭī bhujārdhasaṃvargaḥthat translates to: "for a triangle, the result of a perpendicular with the half-side is the area.}

  [5]BHAGWAD GITA

THE MOST DYNAMIC AND THE MOST RESPECTED LITERATURE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF INDIAN WRITINGS . THE BHAGWAD GITA IS THE  Hinduscripture in Sanskrit that is part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE BHAGWAD GITA HAS ALL THE ANSWERS RELATED TO HUMAN LIFE AND BEYOND.
The Gita in the title of the text "Bhagavad Gita" means "song".

In the Indian tradition, the Bhagavad Gita, as well as the epic Mahabharata of which it is a part, is attributed to Vyasa.

[6]ASTRONOMY

In Indian languages, the science of
 astronomy is called
Khagola-shastra.

Around 500 BCE, Aryabhata presented a mathematical system that took the Earth to spin on its axis and considered the motions of the planets with respect to the Sun. He also made an accurate approximation of the Earth's circumference and diameter, and also discovered how the lunar eclipse and solar eclipse happen for the first time. He gives the radius of the planetary orbits in terms of the radius of the Earth/Sun orbit as essentially their periods of rotation around the Sun. He was also the earliest to discover that the orbits of the planets around the Sun are ellipses.

Bhaskara (1114-1185) Calculated the time taken for the Earth to orbit the sun to 9 decimal places.
